Yesterday evening, a 13-year-old girl passed away after falling from the 16th floor of an apartment in Jinjang Utara, Kuala Lumpur. The police were notified by the public at around 4:15 pm. The police investigation revealed that the victim was staying with her 18-year-old sister in the house.
What the 13-year-old girl did leading up to the tragedy
The sister had left the victim playing computer games to go to the bathroom. Upon returning, the sister found the victim climbing out of the window in the main bedroom and tried to pull her back in, but was unable to do so as the victim had already fallen. The investigation also revealed that the house did not have iron grilles and found an article on the victim’s computer titled ‘How to die in an apartment’.
The police believe the victim slipped out of the window while climbing out. The sister stated that the victim was behaving normally and showed no suicidal tendencies. Paramedics confirmed the victim’s death, and the case is classified as sudden death. The police urge anyone with information to contact them.
