It appears that the police have received almost 30 reports against Hadi Awang. Investigation papers on the President of PAS, Abdul Hadi Awang, and Permatang Pauh MP, Muhammad Fawwaz Mohamad Jan, related to their allegedly racist statements will be handed over to the Attorney General’s Department (AGC) for further action.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Nasution, stated this when asked to comment on the police and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) investigations into Hadi and Fawwaz. Saifuddin confirmed that several complaints had been made and investigation papers had been opened. The investigation will be allowed to proceed before being handed over to the Attorney General.
Previously, Muhammad Fawwaz stated that he had given a statement regarding the alleged racial remarks involving him. It was reported that Hadi was investigated over a Facebook post he made on August 20, 2022.
