Setel, the popular fuel payment app in Malaysia, has launched a lightweight version called Setel Lite to cater to customers with older Android or Huawei phones and slower internet connectivity.

The app offers a small download size and works smoothly on devices with Android 4.4 or EMUI 3 and above, even on EDGE, 2G or 3G internet connections. Setel Lite users can pay for fuel from their vehicle and earn up to 3x Mesra points, which can be checked through the app. They can top up their Setel Wallet either with cash via e-voucher or online banking.

The app is available for use at PETRONAS stations nationwide and is aimed at making the refuelling experience more accessible and user-friendly for the underserved segment with limited connectivity and phone functionality.
