With 76.9% of Malaysians already owning a home, the government is hopeful that the numbers will continue to rise following the stamp duty exemptions for first-time house buyers.

Nga on Ministry’s Goal

Nga Kor Ming, the Local Government Development Minister, says the ministry’s goal of ensuring every Malaysian has a place to call home and proposed the initiative to the Finance Ministry.
