Mother Mangalam, a revered humanitarian known as Malaysia’s Mother Teresa, passed away at the age of 97. She had been admitted to Assunta Hospital two weeks ago due to bronchopneumonia and unfortunately, could not overcome the illness.

Mangalam was highly regarded for her contributions and co-founding of the Pure Life Society in 1949. Affectionately known as “Mother Mangalam,” she dedicated her life to serving others and making a positive impact in society.

Her funeral is scheduled to take place today, as Malaysia mourns the loss of this beloved and inspirational figure.
