Throwing away your trash at a fast food restaurant seems to be a common courtesy for their customers. This is due to them having lesser staff and a higher volume of customers, in order to keep the costs down. However, it seems that in Malaysia, many are not willing to dispose of their waste.

Fast food customers not throwing away their trash

For those that work in fast food restaurants state that this is a great help to them. However, the next best thing is for customers to neatly arrange their trash on the tray. This would be easier for the staff to dispose of the items. Despite this, there are some who state that certain workers are requesting their customers to leave their tray on the table.

Many are opposing the idea of cleaning up after they eat, especially at an established restaurant. These users claim that the restaurants can more than afford to hire cleaners to clean the restaurants up. Furthermore, there are those that justify not cleaning after themselves as they are paying for service tax. Unfortunately for them, the service tax is a government tax, not a charge the restaurant is taking for themselves.
