BERSATU has accused the government of deliberately tarnishing the image of Perikatan Nasional (PN) by conducting a raid on the home of Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, claiming it to be an attempt to damage the character of the opposition leader.

According to BERSATU’s Information Chief, Datuk Razali Idris, the government is using vague methods to divert attention from pressing issues such as the declining economy, currency devaluation, and rising living costs. He further stated that the government is focusing on BERSATU’s leadership and employing all means necessary to undermine the opposition leader.
Meanwhile, the member of their Supreme Leadership Council, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah, dismissed the raid as a desperate political strategy to vilify the party’s top leadership. The raid, conducted by the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), reportedly resulted from undisclosed taxes, with seized documents including asset ownership records and accounts.
