Former national motorcycle racer Wazi Abdul Hamid, in a swipe at rempits perhaps, advised young people to save in Tabung Haji. Why? He said that will get them to perform Hajj at a young age.
Good advise though not exactly what young people would want to hear right? But why did he say that? He said he was impressed while in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to see that many of the pilgrims from other countries are youth.
Save For Pilgrimage
“Jadi, daripada membeli sport rim, topi keledar berharga RM2,000, RM3,000, lebih baik simpan dalam TH, hanya RM1,300 untuk mendaftar haji, panggilan (haji) insya-Allah akan datang,” katanya kepada pemberita.
Better Than Sport Rim
The Haj is the last of the duties the Muslims have to perform, if they are in good health, have cash in hand and have no debts. And it is preferably performed when one is at an older age, because if you succeed in the Haj, or pilgrimmage to Makkah, your slate is wiped clean and you are reborn.
