One of the most controversial parts of the Perikatan Nasional member’s statement is that the government should reduce civil servant staff which includes doctors, police officers, firefighters and so on. Furthermore, the current situation is already having these government servants overstretched.
Netizens are suggesting that retired MPs should no longer be getting their retirement money as that is financially straining the country as well. This sentiment is popular among netizens, and they are stating that politicians making ridiculous statements should not be allowed to run for elections.
