It appears that the line has reached 123% capacity rate, which is more than what it was designed for.

Netizens state that pre-pandemic days, the ridership for the Kelana Jaya line was even more than what we’re seeing today. However, there is no more room for ridership growth. Some are asking the questions regarding the new trains coming to the line, and it appears that they’re coming between 2023 and 2024.

However, there are several questions on the station capacity and the duration of each train’s journey if more trains are added to the line.
