Astro, one of the most infamous companies in Malaysia, is seen in a profit reduction by RM85 million. A shocking 81% decline is bad for any major corporation, even if in Malaysia. There are speculations about why they are in huge decline, netizens have a lot to say when regarding their decline.

Netizens are also stating that Astro is practically surviving due to their exclusive rights to the English Premier League showings. However, if another broadcasting or streaming platform shares the rights for it, it is speculated that they will be sinking deeper.
Furthermore, netizens are complaining that the fees are expensive at a whopping RM170 a month. Platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney+ are cheaper even when combined. Complaints of their shows on repeat and bad reception even in 2023 are one of the prominent issues they are facing now.
