Former Member of Parliament for Petaling Jaya, Tony Pua, has been criticized by the Secretary-General of DAP, Anthony Loke, for labeling BN as a “corrupt coalition.”

Loke clarified that Pua’s remarks were made in his personal capacity and did not represent the views of the party. Pua’s comments, which were made during a DAP event, were seen as an unwarranted attack on the main coalition partners in the Unity Government.
Loke emphasized that the DAP’s policy decision is to cooperate with other political coalitions for political stability. He deemed Pua’s statement provocative and urged all DAP leaders and members to prioritize maintaining harmony within the coalition.
Loke concluded by stating that individuals who cannot exercise restraint in their words on this matter are not welcome to speak on behalf of DAP.
