Khazanah Nasional Bhd (Khazanah) is planning to establish a fresh green investment platform to attract greater direct investments from both domestic and international sources. The Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, stated that this initiative aims to support local companies, particularly Bumiputera firms, while generating more high-quality job opportunities for the citizens.

This matter was extensively discussed during Khazanah’s third Board of Directors Meeting for 2023, where the organization’s role in national development was thoroughly examined. Anwar emphasized the importance of implementing a sustainable energy transition to ensure economic longevity.
The meeting primarily focused on their investments aimed at bolstering the domestic economic ecosystem, benefiting not only startup enterprises but also successful businesses seeking capital for future growth. Anwar encouraged Khazanah to continue collaborating with the government to advance Malaysia’s economic development goals and foster a stronger partnership between the private and public sectors at all levels.
He underscored the significance of them adhering to its existing mandate of delivering sustainable economic and social benefits for the people and securing a better future for the nation, in accordance with the MADANI principles.
