PM Anwar was recently all over Twitter for his remarks towards a form 6 student by telling her that he would ask for her number if he was younger. This rubbed some Twitter users the wrong way and even claimed that he had ill intentions with the girl. However, netizens are proudly defending their Prime Minister over this error.

A Twitter user states that this is the way to “silence” victims by passing certain remarks as jokes. However, others are stating that it is merely a “dumb joke” and it was clearly not meant to be done in a harmful way. On top of that, Twitter users are claiming that some are taking this way too far.
To top it all off, MUDA has also received backlash from netizens for their vocal display regarding this matter. Other political leaders have recently said certain things that can be deemed as “sexist” but they did not say a word. Many are stating that MUDA leaders are overreacting towards this whole ordeal when there are larger issues that are upon this country.
