Arsenal has officially announced the signing of Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a £65m deal. The German international, who previously played as a No. 9 for Chelsea, expressed his desire to operate in a deeper role for Arsenal.
Kai Havertz joining Arsenal?
Havertz, who joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020, has showcased his skills with 19 goals and seven assists in 91 Premier League appearances. Additionally, Arsenal is close to securing the services of Declan Rice from West Ham in a £105m move after Manchester City withdrew from the race for the English midfielder.
The club is also pursuing a £50m deal for Ajax defender Jurriën Timber and targeting Southampton midfielder Roméo Lavia. He expressed his excitement to join Arsenal and contribute to their rich history, aiming to win trophies alongside his new teammates under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta.
