Contrary to what people generally think, YouTube advertisers are actually mad at Google for placing their advertisements as non-skippable. Generally, users would be quite annoyed when they see a long advertisement that is unskippable. Furthermore, there are talks among netizens about how cliche and pointless advertisements are today.
YouTube/Google possibly breaking their own terms and conditions?
On Twitter, the news came out differently, which was fact-checked. Apparently some thought that it was the fact that advertisers were angry that their ads were skippable. Furthermore, netizens state that YouTube ads make them not want to purchase said product or service as it is pretty “annoying.”
In addition to this, netizens are stating that ads from the past were tolerable and interesting to watch. However, today, advertisements are regarded as “boring” and forceful towards the consumer. Many are actually longing for the days when good advertisements were running on the air.
