New: Malaysia Buying 40 Starlink Sets For Universities and Colleges

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Friday said he has invited SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company that provides the Starlink satellite service, to help improve faster and more accessible internet access in the country’s remote and rural areas.

Following the video call between the PM and Mr Musk, Malaysia has decided to acquire 40 sets that will be distributed to universities and colleges. The government wishes to bring better internet services to students, says Anwar.
