Will PKR field Najwan Halimi in Kota Anggerik after the outbursts from the Indian community following his remarks against the Parti Socialis Malaysia? This is a big question as many are asking the party’s leadership to address the matter. Some are also urging the Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil to take action against the YB.
The latter is under attack for calling the PSM a ‘parti india estet’ in a WhatsApp group chat. PSM’s secretary-general Sivarajan Arumugam posted a screen shot of the chat on Twitter. Following this, netizens hounded Mr Najwan who finally apologised in a Twitter post.
Najwan Halimi under fire
Najwan says he called Mr Sivarajan to apologise for his uncalled-for statement on the nomination of the party’s first Selangor candidate. Najwan is the deputy chief of Shah Alam PKR and was elected assemblyman for Kota Anggerik in 2018. Twitter users are urging him to relinquish from running again in the seat. They say the Indian community will not vote for him this time.
