Following the viral news about a luxurious residence allegedly linked to the Kedah Chief Minister, another luxurious mansion belonging to former Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said has also gained attention, this time being associated with corruption.
Bungalow Scandals
Ahmad Said, while denying the corruption allegations, expressed his willingness to be investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding his mansion in Kijal, Kemaman. He dismissed the accusations as malicious defamation aimed at diverting attention from another leader from the opposition party who is also linked to a luxurious mansion in Kedah.
Ahmad clarified that the residence was built before the 10th General Election in 1999 and took nine years to complete, denying any involvement in corruption. No more bungalow scandals?
