Recently, a father working as a rubber tapper had to borrow RM120 from his neighbors in the village in order to attend his daughter’s STPM graduation. Netizens are in awe of the father’s dedication towards his daughter.

Netizens are stating that the journey must’ve been quite a distance. As we know, RM120 will be sufficient for a long distance journey. Furthermore, his daughter received a 4.0 score for her STPM studies. However, some Malaysians are in shock that there are those who technically cannot afford to attend their child’s graduation ceremony.
In addition to this, some claim that some of us should be grateful for earning and spending thousands of Ringgit a month. Furthermore, some claim that rubber tappers are making barely a few hundred Ringgit a month. However, netizens are against this sentiment stating that we should strive for a better standard of living for our citizens.
