In a Facebook post, she wrote that every day, delivery riders are being fined hundreds of Ringgit. “They have been seeking help from their elected representatives for a long time, but there has been no response or assistance. The riders are at a loss and don’t know what else to do. They are forced to gather and seek help from me, even though I am no longer the Member of Parliament for Permatang Pauh. Many residents here still reach out to me for help,” she writes.
According to them, their job requires them to go to malls more than 10 times a day, and each time they have to pay for parking just to pick up food deliveries. This is a huge burden on them. To save costs, they sometimes park their motorcycles on the roadside outside the mall. They get fined.
