Recently, the case of a woman being sentenced to death in Singapore for her involvement in bringing in heroin made headlines all over the world. However, it appears that a large chunk of Twitter users are agreeing with the Singaporean government for enacting such strict laws.
Twitter users agree with Singapore’s strict laws
There are many users who are comparing Singapore to the cities of the western society like San Francisco. Those on Twitter state that Singapore is literally safer and cleaner than most cities in the Western hemisphere due to their strict laws. It appears that westerners now feel that strong law enforcement is an important part of society.
Westerners agree that different places have different customs and laws. If another person tries to break the law of another country, they would need to brace the consequences as you are in another person’s land. Furthermore, if one does not approve of the laws of said country, it’s best to not visit it at all.
