In response to recent political accusations, Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari addressed the issue of the stadium’s construction cost. He firmly refuted claims made by the PN coalition, stating that the alleged RM3.2 billion construction cost was entirely false.
Amirudin Clarifies PN Lies
Amirudin explains that the accurate figure for building the new stadium remains consistent with his previous announcement in 2022, ranging between RM800-900 million. He adds that the RM3.2 billion amount was, in fact, a developer’s proposal to develop the entire 70-acre surrounding area, which includes plans for a hotel, indoor theater, bus station, and youth recreation center.
Expressing his dismay at PN’s lack of focus on pertinent policy matters and their tendency to propagate misinformation, Amirudin urged for a more constructive political discourse.
