The High Court today found the charges against ex-PM Muhyiddin Yassin defective and thus freed him of all the charges of abuse of power. Thus, the High Court acquits Muhyiddin of four charges involving abuse of power to obtain a RM232.5mil gratification for Bersatu. A win for the ex-PM.

Justice Jamil Hussin says the charges are defective and he is using his inherent powers as there is abuse of process. “The charges are defective and I am using my powers as there is abuse of process,” he said. He said, the charges are struck out and Muhyiddin is acquitted.
