Maxis launches 5G services. Did you upgrade yours to 5G?

The telecommunications giant, Maxis, is now going to offer 5G services across Malaysia. It’s to be launched today. It appears that they are the last of the telcos to agree with the 5G services in the country. However, this is rather surprising as they are one of the more expensive telcos in Malaysia.

Maxis to offer 5G services

The Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil made a tweet yesterday regarding the whole ordeal. He states, “finally, after a series of discussions following the Cabinet’s decision on May 3, Maxis today agreed to sign a 5G ‘Access Agreement’ with DNB.”

There are others asking questions in relation to Maxis’ competitors, Digi-Celcom. Apparently customers of that specific telco might have to pay more for their 5G coverage. However, users are recommending others to use U Mobile’s plans instead as they are more affordable.
