“What’s wrong with him? There’s no need to politicize this issue,” is the reaction of Ahmad Zahid Hamidi when commenting on the statement of the Chief of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Youth, Ahmad Fadhli Shaari, regarding the possibility of four states under the coalition’s administration using different logos and themes for National Day celebrations at the state level.

The Deputy Prime Minister states that National Day celebrations are a national event that should be celebrated together.

“This isn’t a political matter because it’s about the flag; National Day celebrations are a national event, and I believe this shouldn’t be politicized,” he said after officiating the Deputy Prime Minister’s Football Cup Championship here today.

Yesterday, Ahmad Fadhli, who is also the Member of Parliament for Pasir Mas, stated that states under the PN administration might use different logos and themes for state-level National Day celebrations, compared to the logos and themes announced at the federal level.
