The pup is known for one of the most recognisable viral images – Cheems. The pup was popularised online for his love of cheeseburgers. He also appeared in “Swole Doge vs Cheems” and “bonk” memes too.

But he was not the pup behind the famous ‘doge’ meme. The doge pup is named Kabosu and was never critically ill with leukaemia. The owners says he has been battling cancer, with his owners hoping to arrange chemotherapy following the surgery.
