The criticism of the dress code by Team Lee Zii Jia (LZJ) set by the Academy Badminton Malaysia (ABM) for professional players to train at the academy has been deemed unfair to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), according to BAM Technical Advisory panel member Datuk Seri Jalani Sidek.

Jalani mentioned that LZJ should appreciate the opportunity given by BAM to train at ABM. He stressed that issues like the dress code should not be blown out of proportion, considering the special privilege given to the 13th-ranked player in the world. Jalani also agreed with Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s observation that Lee Zii Jia’s concerns were related to his ongoing conflict with BAM.
