Penang’s seawater once again showcases a rosy hue, captured by Dr. Annette Jaya Ram, Deputy Director of the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies, during a National Park stroll. This phenomenon arises from rainfall-induced nutrient influx, nurturing algae like Noctiluca scintillans, which isn’t toxic or harmful to marine life.
