Mohamed Al Fayed, the former Harrods chairman, has passed away at the age of 94. Although born in Egypt, he established a business empire in the Middle East before relocating to the UK in the 1970s. He never realized his ambition of obtaining British citizenship.

Al Fayed passed away

Al Fayed spent his later years questioning the circumstances surrounding the deaths of his son Dodi and Princess Diana, living quietly in his Surrey mansion. His family confirmed his peaceful passing on August 30, 2023, stating that he had enjoyed a fulfilling retirement surrounded by loved ones.

Al Fayed, a larger-than-life character, left a significant impact on British life through his ownership of Harrods, Fulham FC, and his philanthropic efforts, particularly in supporting charities and hospitals.
