25-year-old Motorcyclist Who Rammed JPJ Officer Fined Rm5000 Now

A 25-year-old motorcyclist in Port Dickson, who collided with a JPJ officer at a roadblock, pleaded guilty and has been fined RM5,000 by the Magistrate Court. The accused, who represented himself, appealed for a reduced fine due to his responsibilities as a provider for his son and pregnant wife.

He also mentioned losing his job as a security guard following the incident. In the event that he cannot pay the fine, the court has ordered a 3-month jail term. The charge against him pertained to obstructing a government servant from performing their duties under the Penal Code, which carries a potential punishment of up to 2 years in jail, a maximum fine of RM10,000, or both.
