Amizar Wins

Amizar is significantly ahead of his rivals, Perikatan Nasional’s Kasim Samat of PAS and independent candidate Haslihelmy DM Zulhasli. Some sources suggest that Amizar holds a 3,000-vote majority. The counting of votes began after polling centers closed at 6 pm, with ballot boxes taken to the tallying center at Dewan Orang Ramai Felda Kemasul near Bentong. The Election Commission anticipates a turnout exceeding 70% among the 16,456 eligible voters.
