New: Swift Policemen Rescue Stranded Driver From Submerged Car in Flood

The quick action of the policemen managed to save the driver of a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) who almost drowned following a flash flood in the Jalan Chan Sow Lin tunnel, Kuala Lumpur, at about 6pm on Friday. The swift action of these officers, Corporal Syed Syafiq Syed Halim, Lance Corporal Muhammad Afizul Ismail, and Lance Corporal Shahrip Kamaruzaman, saved the 27-year-old driver who had initially struggled to open the submerged driver’s door.

Three traffic enforcement officers in Kuala Lumpur were on duty managing traffic on several routes in the capital city that had been flooded due to heavy rain. During their duty, they spotted a Nissan X-Trail MPV floating in the flooded area with the driver still inside. Upon seeing this, one of the officers bravely jumped into the water to rescue the driver.
