Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain issued a stern warning to his subordinates during an address to CID contingent chiefs and CID division chiefs in Penang. Shuhaily criticized those who colluded with crime syndicates, accusing them of endangering their colleagues’ lives by sharing information on enforcement operations in exchange for money from syndicates.

He questioned how low-ranking police officers could afford luxury vehicles without declaring their assets and highlighted the lack of supervision at lower ranks. Shuhaily, the chief CID warns that those who failed to follow instructions would be transferred and not recommended for higher ranks.
