This week, Manchester United will honor the late Sir Bobby Charlton with a minute’s silence before their matches against FC Copenhagen and Manchester City at Old Trafford. Additional tributes to commemorate his life are under discussion.

Previously, the team paid respects before their win at Sheffield United following Charlton’s passing at age 86. Their women’s team also observed a minute’s silence, donning black armbands at Everton. Fans left tributes at the Charlton, Best, and Law statue outside Old Trafford. The club provided a condolence book for fans to leave messages in person and online.

Charlton’s remarkable career included 758 games, 249 goals, a European Cup, three league titles, and the FA Cup. He also played a pivotal role in England’s 1966 World Cup victory, despite being diagnosed with dementia in 2020. His family expressed gratitude for the support he received.
