Why the Price Catcher?
In this application, the ministry offers price comparisons for 480 items, with monitoring conducted on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis depending on specific items. Through the app, monitoring takes place at 1,500 premises nationwide. A user can utilize this application to obtain information about their chosen items within a 10-kilometre radius of Peninsular Malaysia and a 20-kilometre radius of Sabah and Sarawak.
Currently, over 480 necessities, including fresh and dry goods, are monitored by Price Monitoring Officers. This initiative from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) aims to assist consumers in comparing and checking prices before making purchasing decisions.
