JDT kept their AFC Champions League knockout stage hopes alive with a 2-1 victory over Ulsan Hyundai in Seri Iskandar. Brazilian Heberty Fernandes opened the scoring for JDT in the 44th minute, but Ulsan equalized through Ataru Esaka in the 69th minute. National striker Akhyar Rashid secured the winning goal for JDT in the 87th minute, earning them a 2-1 victory in Group I at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

South Koreans Lost

The win came as a response to JDT’s previous 1-3 loss to Ulsan in an away game on Oct 24. In another group match, Kawasaki Frontale defeated Thai club Pathum United 4-2, securing their fourth consecutive win.
