The Malaysian brand dUCK has suffered from intense backlash from netizens on social media due to them releasing products in relation to the Palestine Israel conflict. Many felt that they were taking advantage of the situation, despite the company stating that the money made from that collection will be donated to the cause.
dUCK’s price reduction due to boycotts?
A prominent X user states that now dUCK is selling their disney collection at a discounted price. The full price for this hijab would be around RM300, but the discounts reduced it to RM210. However, netizens are unsatisfied with the brand stating that their hijabs are way too expensive.
Others gave recommendations on what other brands to support instead. Unfortunately for the brand, there are several accusations against them which are alleged. However, it is at the end of the day, the consumer’s choice if they would want to purchase these items or not.
