The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) froze Aman Palestin Berhad’s 41 bank accounts, totaling RM15,868,762.00, amid allegations of misusing public donations since October 17. The SPRM’s statement revealed crucial witness testimonies, hinting at a misappropriation of approximately RM70 million diverted from the company’s intended objectives.

Prior investigations included searches at company’s premises, obtaining financial records spanning five years. This inquiry targets offenses under various acts. The ongoing probe emerged from concerns raised by Perlis Mufti about the transparency of Aman Palestin’s funds. SPRM’s preliminary action involved document scrutiny before summoning individuals for statements, focusing on potential misuse of collected donations.
