Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim affirmed that development allocations for opposition-led states continue, even if not directly given to opposition parliamentarians. Responding to opposition MPs questioning allocations for them, Anwar clarified that these funds shouldn’t be granted to leaders who criticize, insult, and accuse the government with various claims.

Anwar sarcastically suggested opposition MPs seek economic advice from their chosen political figures. His remarks likely referred to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, appointed as an economic advisor in four PN-led states.
