Eight Arrests Now Made, Including a Police Officer, in Bangladeshi Journalist’s Alleged Kidnapping in Kuala Selangor

Four suspects, including a police officer, faced charges for the alleged kidnapping of a Bangladeshi journalist in Kuala Selangor. Selangor’s Police Chief revealed two locals and one Bangladeshi were among those accused. 

Eight arrest made after Bangladeshi journalist allegedly kidnapped

Following the incident, eight arrests were made, one involving a police officer. Charged under Section 342 of the Penal Code, they appeared in court after a GTSP program. The journalist claimed he was held captive and tortured for three days by purported police officers in Klang. 

Meanwhile, nine suspects were arraigned over a brawl at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium, with 23 others detained. Authorities continue to search for two wanted suspects.
