A luxury YouTuber/TikToker Erica’s Girly World recently has made a video regarding this situation. She states that she recently bought a pair of earrings from Van Cleef for around $9,000 which is around RM50,000 and was shocked to see that she received a simple box and a travel pouch.

TikTokers state that other luxury jewelry brands are offering better packaging for their jewelry. However, the brand allegedly states that they are moving into a more environmentally friendly direction in lieu with their simpler packaging. Unfortunately, it seems that most people are disagreeing with this.
The brand’s official TikTok page has received scrutiny from commenters in lieu of this incident. Many felt that a high end brand should maintain their prestige by offering beautiful packaging regardless.
