It seems that MRT station names are up for grabs for large corporations. For the most part, netizens are agreeable towards this idea. Recently, Deloitte has gotten the rights to rename the TTDI station as TTDI-Deloitte. Furthermore, those who are in accounting would be surprised that a top four company has the rights to do so.

MRT TTDI now renamed TTDI-Deloitte

X users agree with such naming conventions as they feel that this will provide revenue for Prasarana and this would benefit the passengers. To most, it is a win-win situation as the company gets promoted to the passengers while the operator is getting extra income.

However, it seems that many have gotten comfortable with Manulife sponsoring the Semantan station. Now that there are no more announcements regarding Manulife in the train, netizens feel that it’s odd as they are so used to the company’s name being mentioned.
