Apparently, the rise of sketchy job agents promising foreigners good jobs in Malaysia are being blamed by netizens on social media. For the most part, these workers come to our country for a better life. Unfortunately, a lot of them were scammed coming here.

X users state that this case has happened to many Malaysians overseas and yet the same is happening to others in our own country. Furthermore, many are sympathizing with these foreign workers especially if they’re cheated by their employers. If they run to the authorities, they get arrested.
Others state that them being arrested is an act of “kindness,” as these detention centers would offer them food and water. But some disagree as they are allegedly treated poorly in these detention centers.
