Three teenagers in Johor Bahru have been charged with kidnapping a seven-year-old boy from Singapore. Jonathan Yet, 18, and two underage accomplices, aged 16 and 17, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The incident allegedly occurred on December 12 in Jalan Serampang. The trio is accused of kidnapping the boy from his lawful guardian.

The charge carries a term of up to seven years’ imprisonment or a fine upon conviction. Bail was set at RM2,500 for each accused with one surety. The court ordered social and moral evaluation by the Social Welfare Department and set January 23 for the next mention.
