The stories of employers being cruel to their staff is not an uncommon thing in Malaysia. Apparently, a recent drama regarding an X user sharing their experience of their company wanting to take legal action against them after they reported the company for not paying their employee’s KWSP funds.

Furthermore, many Malaysians do not know their full rights as workers in this country. For the most part, many of these companies would claim to take legal action against those who are brave enough to bring the matter to the government. However, if it’s the matter of the law being ignored, it is hard for the court to accept such legal actions.
Others state that they would report the letter to the authorities as to some it may look like a threat. Regardless, employees would typically quit their jobs and find a better place to work at rather than having to deal with the drama.
