Donny van de Beek secures a loan to Eintracht Frankfurt from Manchester United until the season’s close, with Frankfurt paying a nominal fee. Frankfurt holds an option to buy for €11m (£9.5m) plus €3m add-ons, covering most of his £120,000 weekly salary during the loan.
Van de Beek’s struggle
Despite joining United from Ajax in 2020, Donny struggled, managing only two appearances this season and 62 overall, with two goals and two assists. Financial constraints lead United to potentially consider selling players like Casemiro, Varane, Sancho, and Martial, with recruitment subject to incoming shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s consultation, pending Premier League ratification in 5-7 weeks.
