The Malaysian Ministry of Education (KPM) convened with families of students lacking citizenship documents after a plea to the Prime Minister for schooling continuation. In their statement, KPM disclosed that the Negeri Sembilan State Education Department (JPNS) meeting on December 28 aimed to resolve these students’ educational paths.

Various solutions were proposed regarding their citizenship documentation needs, with JPNS committed to aiding school enrollment management. Shivaani, a 10-year-old, sought Anwar Ibrahim’s help to attend school next year after being barred due to citizenship issues, illustrating the ongoing efforts to ensure equitable education access for all students.
