MetMalaysia has issued a warning for continuous heavy rainfall at a severe level in several areas of Pahang and Johor starting today until Sunday, January 7. MetMalaysia said the warning includes the areas of Pekan and Rompin in Pahang, while in Johor, it involves Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.

The department has also issued a cautious level warning for continuous rainfall expected during the same period, involving Kuantan in Pahang, as well as Batu Pahat and Pontian in Johor, Bernama reports.
