A fire broke out at Beruas MP Ngeh Koo Ham’s house in the wee hours of this morning, with police suspecting foul play. Perak police chief Yusri Hassan Basri confirmed that it is suspected to be an act of arson while noting that the investigation is being carried out from multiple angles.

Fire at Ngeh house
Three cars parked at the garage of DAP lawmaker’s residence in Ayer Tawar near Manjung were destroyed in the blaze on Wednesday (Jan 10) morning, The Star says. No injuries were reported in the incident that occurred at about 3am at his Taman Semarak Jaya house. Perak Fire and Rescue Department’s operations commander Tarmizi Abdul Ghani said they received a distress call at about 3.05am, and Bomba arrived at the site at 3.12am.
